The first edition of HAT Pedavena amazes and entertains
More than 100 motorcycles on test between the hairpin bends of the Dolomites
The HAT SERIES world made its debut on May 18-19 in the Veneto region of Italy with the collaboration of the Motor Bike Expo “bikers’ fair” and the Birreria Pedavena, an ideal setting to host an event marked by conviviality as all HAT events are.
A great many enthusiasts reached the Veneto Dolomites to test the more than 100 motorcycles on trial, thanks to the new models made available by the Manufacturers: DUCATI, HARLEY-DAVIDSON, HONDA, HUSQVARNA, KOVE, KTM, MONDIAL, MOTO MORINI, QJ MOTOR, SUZUKI, TRIUMPH, YAMAHA…
In the HAT Village the public was able to visit more than twenty booths of leading companies in the accessories and clothing industry.
At Boot Camp the greeting of Franco Picco and presentations of “women’s” adventure trips.
New HAT Pedavena Adventouring tour of about 120 km with guides from Over2000riders.
Last weekend HAT SERIES landed in style for the first time in the Veneto region. And it could only do so in Pedavena (BL), set in the magnificent panorama of the Belluno Dolomites, a habitual meeting place for motorcyclists from the Triveneto, thanks to its beautiful roads but also to the welcome and atmosphere offered by the well-known Birreria Pedavena. The largest brewery in Italy cooperated with great enthusiasm for the best success of the event. And so it was. Indeed, an estimated approximately 5,000 people attended over the two days at this premiere. An exceptional number for a premiere.
The HAT – Pedavena pairing was joined by another great motorcycle reality of Veneto matrix, namely Motor Bike Expo. Francesco Agnoletto and Paola Somma, patrons of MBE, and their team joined with great passion and commitment to make sure that enthusiasts participated in large numbers. The common goal for all was to create an event that would promote the Adventouring world in northeastern Italy. The result went beyond any wildest expectations. The public response was massive, true to the local motorcycling tradition. The way is now mapped out for a development in Pedavena of many initiatives to promote increasingly active and sustainable adventure motorcycling.
The HAT Village, the beating heart of the event
Many interesting and participated in the entertainment program at the HAT Boot Camp, the space dedicated to meetings about the world of adventure, its protagonists, stories, companies and their products. This weekend saw a focus on the past and future plans of many girl-adventurers, a real and growing phenomenon in adventouring. The Boot Camp featured Miriam Orlandi, Monica Ledda, Greta Supertramp, Arianna Lenzi, Lisa Liz Cavalli of Miss Biker, all ready for new challenging adventures on two wheels. But speaking of the adventure world, we could not miss the true Venetian ambassador, and not only, of the discipline, the legendary Franco Picco who as always with his stories between the romantic and the sporty brought the charm of the Dakar to the new Adventourfest.
Finally, very popular were the OVER2000RIDERS tours, organized to participate with one’s own motorcycle on the beautiful trails in the area, real events within the event. In this first edition the HAT Pedavena Adventouring tour was proposed, an adventouring tour (with off-road) of the length of about 120 km with an “easy” level suitable for adventure two-cylinder bikes, which took place both Saturday and Sunday on the mountainous roads above Valdobbiadene. An enjoyable road/off-road trip in the company of OVER2000RIDERS guides, an activity that will see attention and development for future editions.
The HAT Pedavena Adventourfest was definitely promoted with flying colors, and there is already talk of the next event for 2025.
